I hope you all have a computer and power to do this assignment. If you do not, then please, please, try to get a computer tomorrow for this assignment to count.

Go to student.desmos.com and use the class code of 8ST6SE.  I will be able to see on my end your progress so you will not have to worry about handing anything in.

Blizzard Bag Day 2

Happy 10 day vacation!  I hope everyone had a thankful break.

Here is the link to your assignment and the rubric that will be used to grade your image.  Please be as detailed and creative as possible.  Here is a protractor if you need one.  If you need more clarification of what rotational symmetry is, go to youtube videos or google, rotational symmetry.  Have fun and be creative!

When viewing the rubric, the designs are to have certain points of symmetry.  What this means is if you rotate it that many times, the object would be back to where it began.  For example, on 7.3A, which you all should have, the first problem has 4 points of rotational symmetry because as we discussed in class it could be rotated about the center 90, 180, 270 and then of course 360 degrees.  The second one has only 2 points of rotational symmetry because it can only be rotated 180 degrees and of course 360 degrees, which is true for all objects.  I hope this helps clarify your creative designs.  Use color if possible.

Image result for 3 point rotational symmetryThis has 3 points of rotational symmetry!  Have fun creating!!

If you are having trouble, email me with your question.  I will do my best at responding back. See you next year!

parallel or perpendicular lines

If you are alright with the notion that the slopes of perpendicular lines need to be opposite reciprocals or have a product of -1, then try this worksheet.  The class is doing review today with an activity for our schools mission.  Friday is their test.  I hope things are going ok with you.

Perpendicular lines

Please watch this video  and try this worksheet.  If you don't have a printer, then try to copy down your work.  I believe you have the first sheet, so try to finish that one and then try the second sheet.  I did attach the answer key as you can check your answers.  Please make a note at the point that you don't understand and we will work on that when you come back.  Email me how you are feeling and we will go from there.
